Introduction to Solar PV and MC Connectors and the 2023 NEC

Solar sites utilize "finger-safe" connectors which are designed to be inherently safe. They are safe when they are used correctly and handled correctly. We as installers sometimes have to connect and disconnect MC4 connectors and when they are under load this can be hazardous. This training module will introduce you to potential hazards and how you can avoid these hazards. This is just an introduction and by no means qualifies a person to make decisions about what to disconnect, when, and why. Those decisions need to be left up to the designated, licensed journeymen electricians.
