ReachOut Safeguarding Training for Mentors 2024-25

We are so excited that you have made the first step to becoming a Volunteer Mentor with ReachOut!

This online module is designed for you to learn all about:

• The ReachOut basics, such as who our young people are and why they need a mentor.
• An introduction to our mentoring approach & what your role as a Volunteer Mentor will be
• An introduction to Safeguarding & keeping young people safe. This is by far your most important responsibility as a mentor, so please take the time to read information carefully & make notes if that works for you. You will be asked to complete a short quiz about Safeguarding at the end of the training to check your understanding.

Please allow yourself around an hour to go through these slides, although feel free to take as much time as you need! The information will prepare you for the group Mentor Training you attend, so it's really important that you read everything thoroughly.
