This Research Review E-Learning Module is intended for community nurses and discusses the risk of shingles in individuals with underlying cardiovascular conditions, the risk of new cardiovascular events after shingles infection, and efficacy of the Shingrix vaccine for prevention of shingles. It is based on a Research Review Speaker Series publication entitled “Shingles and cardiovascular disease: an update on risk factors and complications of shingles infection”.
