“We realized fast that we couldn't keep up with traditional, in-person ERP training. E-learning wasn't just a solution — it became a necessity for scalability.”

Peter Fikkers

Lead knowledge manager and trainer

The challenge: ERP training that wasn’t scalable

Isah develops ERP software used by over 700 manufacturing businesses worldwide. Their system is powerful and customizable. For years, Isah relied on in-person training at its Tilburg headquarters to onboard new users and customers. But as its business grew and COVID-19 hit, it became clear this model couldn’t scale.

Training sessions were labor-intensive, with a maximum capacity, and bound to times and locations. Consultants were stretched thin. International customers couldn’t feasibly travel to the Netherlands. And without solid training, customers were not utilizing their ERP system’s capabilities to the fullest, impacting both satisfaction and project timelines.

“We were already piloting e-learning internally,” said Peter. “But COVID accelerated everything. We had to move fast — not just for our team, but mainly to keep customers empowered.”

The solution: Easy LMS as a scalable training platform

After reviewing several LMS solutions, Isah chose Easy LMS for its simplicity, flexibility, and strong structure

After reviewing several LMS solutions, Isah chose Easy LMS for its simplicity, flexibility, and strong structure. It allowed them to quickly build learning paths and organize courses by groups; for new employees or specific customer roles, for example.

“We didn’t want to code our own system or waste time setting up infrastructure. Easy LMS had the framework we needed, right out of the box,” said Peter.

They transitioned to a ‘flipped classroom’ model. Customers complete foundational e-learning courses online, when it suits them, and use in-person time for Q&A, discussion, and demos. This not only improves retention but also reduces the amount of time consultants need to spend teaching the basics, allowing them to focus on improving processes with customers.

The results: time saved, customers empowered

The results were immediate and measurable:

  • ✅ 20 full training days saved annually.

  • ✅ Fewer consultants required.

  • ✅ No need for additional classrooms or facilities.

  • ✅ Greater consistency in knowledge transfer.

  • ✅ Customers can train when and where they want.

What’s more, Isah made a bold decision to offer all foundational training completely free of charge. “We didn’t want training to be a barrier,” explained Peter. “That’s how we differentiate from competitors who still charge €350–€400 per seat.”

This move increased adoption, reduced support issues, and strengthened Isah’s market position.

Looking ahead

Isah continues to roll out Easy LMS across its customer base using a phased approach. With more ERP modules moving to the cloud, e-learning is the only way to keep pace.

Future plans include translating more content into English and German to serve international customers, and expanding the use of exams to measure learning outcomes.

“Staff like going in there and doing their training. It looks nice, it’s easy to use, the layout is appealing, and the styling is beautiful. We can also customize the tool to our branding. For us, it’s all about the completion rates. Without those, you might as well not bother in the first place.
“It's a very easy platform to use. It allows us to evaluate our staff in a better way and optimize the duration and quality of our exams and evaluations. It saves us so much time, and the employees are so happy that they can finally see their progress.
